  - Overall I feel like our vacation here was very enjoyable, food was wonderful, employees were very friendly !! Pedro was one waiter that we had and was as friendly as could be and would get you anything that you wanted!! The activities were very fun for the whole family and all of the activity employees made evey game very fun!!! The only thing that I could say is that the rooms were in need of some attention as far as not seeming to be completed all the way. But I would definitely go back and would recommend this resort to friends and family!!

  We had a great time - We had a wonderful vacation. Dreams Tulum was a perfect choice for our family. We ate spectacular food - no reservations! The staff was very helpful and a lot of fun. The rooms were great (we had the basic "supersaver room" ) - I would not need anything more. The maid service kept our room spotless. We had nothing that we could think of that we would change with our vacation. We booked a few excursions when we checked in - the ATV tour and Scuba Diving, we went to see the Mayan ruins (very cool)however, you would not need to spend any money if you did not want to. There was plenty to do at the resort - entertainment - movies on the beach - live music - so many things to do all the time! The beach was beautiful!! You could walk for miles if you wanted. Not busy - great for family or couples!! Thanks Dream Days - I will book with you again

  - Great restaurant and architecturally very attractive. Great service. Unfortunate that beach is getting very rocky. Most unfortunate that Dreams has bowed to technology pressures by installing wireless internet in every room. It will make it harder for more and more people to get a good nights sleep, especially children. Research has shown that increasing intensities of wireless radiation disturb sleep patterns, nervous system and a host of other bodily functions. Dreamday corporation should reconsider its wireless policy in every room policy and limit it to one area of the hotel.

  - This resort is beautiful, We have stayed here twice. The rooms are very large, clean, and well appointed. Note: not all "oceanview" rooms actually have an ocean view. You can check-in on-line, so do your homework for room selection if you "must" have an oceanview. The service is excellent and the food is very good with many choices, plus you have access to the sister resort (Royal Porto) across the street. Huge pool area with plentiful lounges and prompt and unlimited beverage service. Also, very large, clean beach area. In my opinion, this is the best resort in the Playa del Carmen area. "We will be back".

  - Much like the sister property (the Royal in Playa del Carmen)this is a beautiful resort, except here, every room has a wonderful oceanview. The rooms are clean and spacious and the view from the balcony is awesome. The service is excellent and the food is very good with many choices. Breakfast at Pelicanos is al-fresco and you may choose to be seated right over the surf, and the food here is great. The pool area is huge with covered lounge chairs, if you wish. The beach area is limited due to hurricane erosion, but adequate for lounging, a stroll, or a dip in the ocean (watch out for rocks). Here, you have unlimited access to another sister property, the Gran Caribe Real, next door. However, since the Royal is an upscale, the guests at the Gran Caribe do not have access to the Royal. Overall, I feel that this is one of the very best resorts for location, accomodations, and service in the entire Cancun hotel zone. We will return soon!!

  - This was an outstanding holtel. Rooms are new and very clean. Most employees were very helpful. Food was very good in two of the restruarts. Lunch was average buffet style. Breakfast was fast and tasty.

  Great time at Secrets Capri - We stayed 4 nights at this hotel and everyone of them was fantastic. All the restaurants at this resort are different and the food is excellent. The drinks were plentiful and creative. All the staff that we encountered were cheery and helpful. One bit of advice..... reserve a pool chair early(7am). Everyone does and its a bit of a game.... fun:)

  Best Hotel Ever - We had a wedding at this hotel, the service was astounding, the activities fun for all, the wide range of possibilities made this the best vacation most of us experienced, they entertained young and old alike, they had a junior explorers club for the children, and a wonderful spa absolutely every detail was impeccably taken care of,,the food variety was amazing and all delicious, the staff, the best service ever always eager to accomodate your every need. beach parties, movies on the beach, a physician on staff, shops, sailing, beautiful pools, top notch, none of our large party wanted to leave, definately returning and want to say thank you so much for making this wedding the very best ever.

  not a five star - resort was clean and staff friendly but not five star service. we had to wait much to long for a drink by the pool and at the beach over 20 minutes everytime. the selection at restaurants should have been more upscale. no lobster at all any nite. I have been to a 3 star that had lobster every day! great rate but if I was to pay full price I would have been very upset. I did like you did not have to make reservation to eat.If its your first time to mexico pick cancun the beaches are much nicer.

  Great luxury hotel for a relaxing vacation - This resort outshines all other resorts in the Nuevo Vallarta area. Taxi takes 15 - 20 mins from the airport. The rooms are beautiful just like the hotel photos. The pools are spectacular, huge and so warm (like bathwater). The resort rests on a long walking beach. There are drink servers at both the pool and beach. The food at the resort is excellent and offers 4 al a carte restaurants to choose from (with no reservations required). Restauran food was the best ever at an all-inclusive. 24 hr room service with a large menu of selections. 5 bars including a rooftop lounge and sushi bar. The service was excellent throughout the resort. Everything at the resort is very upscale, from the bath products to the service. Every "thank you" is replied to with "it's my pleasure". There is NOT a lot of lively activity at this resort, so I would recommend it for couples and families with young children. The kids club is great. They brought a sea lion in one day for the kids to meet and everyone to get pictures with - very fun. I think that teenagers might get a little bored here. There is not much in the area of Nuevo Vallarta, so visitors spend most of their time at the resort. If you need more excitement, sightseeing, bars and clubs, etc. you should probably go elsewhere. If you'd be happy with an outstanding restful beach/pool vacation with 1st class accommodations, food and service, then this is the place for you. Tours are also available in the area.

  Catalonia Riviera Maya - I have stayed at this hotel twice, they have added more rooms ant it was a little crowded this time. I found it hard to find empty chairs by the pool, but often people would just but their towels on beach chairs to save them all day, then not use them. The snorkeling at the beach and lagoon is wounderful. I don't know of anther resort with both a beach and lagoon. The beach is a bit rocky so bring water shoes. If your looking for great food this is not the place for you the buffet food is only so-so. The kids club is great with the children my son loved them. The pools are all very nice. All of the bars were often crowded with a 3-5min wait for your drink. The PM shows are very good. They have a beach party nite with dinner on the beach that is also fun.

  Great resort still working out the kinks - Had an amazing wedding at the resort. Top notch service. Wonderful food. They were still working out the kinks in the rooms and some areas had construction. Beach is the only real down fall. Can't swim in the ocean. Since this is a man made beach you get out 20 feet and hit rock.

  Very Nice - The room was beautiful. We enjoyed our first stay so much we are going back for our anniversary. We booked early and received a great price. The only dissapointment was - NO Lobster at any restraunt. The beef was OK for Mexico. Not Ruths's Chris but good. The liquor was all top shelf and the resort was clean. Everyone was helpful and we had a great time....

  Dreams was a dream! - We were the very 1st guests at this brand new resort. It was 5 star in every way. The food is delicious, drinks are wonderful, rooms are fantastic. The infinity pool is the nicest I've seen. Beach is long and nice. Nice water entry too. The staff is fabulous at this resort. I never return to the same place and I am actually returning next month. I can't wait to visit the staff again. This was one of the nicest and most reasonable vacations I've ever had. I have already recommended this dreams to many friends. It really is "That Good"! Thanks to dreamdays for their great service too. Transfer was wonderful. We loved Marco! Thanks for a great trip!

  Will be back! - For the second time we choosed this fantastic Dreams hotel, Tulum, first in november 2007, and in march 2009. We are planning our next stay in april 2010. We cannot understand the lack of Scandinavians, they haven't discovered this Dream. The employees are fantastic, the rooms likewise, and the food is tasteful and delicate. The whole place is clean and pleasant. Can't wait to be back.

  - we stayed feb 15th 2010 for three nites wish it was more. from check in to check out everthing was great. the food was excellent we ate at the japaneese first night had lunch outside at the chivice bar . went to the sister resort the last night the moana and had french food great service there aswell. our room was on the first floor room 169 nice view could walk out to the pool from it which we liked. never felt like it was crouwded at any time. we go to mexico around two to three times a year and this resort was the best for food and service by far. I alway pick a place where you do not have to make reservations since your on vacation you shouldn't be on a schedual. its worth the money.
